Coplon Associates led a planning team that worked with the city of Waterville to develop a master plan for the redevelopment of an open 22-acre site on the Kennebec River. Located adjacent to the downtown area and connected to neighboring Winslow by the historic Two Cent Bridge, the site offers attractive opportunities for commercial, institutional, and recreational development. The master plan was conceived to promote downtown redevelopment and foster greater public access to the riverfront. The plan identifies development parcels totaling 60,000 square feet, and public spaces that include an amphitheater, festival park, riverside promenade and community recreation facilities.
