Coplon Associates provided master planning services to the University of Maine System for a facilities master plan for the Bangor Campus of the University of Maine at Augusta. In association with WBRC Architects and Engineers, CA developed a comprehensive redevelopment and rehabilitation plan for the 3,000-student campus. Working with the University and system staff to determine a long-range program that addressed campus size and content, CA developed a plan that sought to improve campus function and image. The plan redesigned campus circulation and created a hierarchy of interconnected quadrangles that linked previously unrelated and disparate buildings. A new entrance drive and approach was completed in 2001 as part of the first phase implementation.
