management, and land use decisions along the Route 3
corridor in Trenton, Maine. The plan addressed access
management along the heavily traveled arterial and depicted
opportunities for the development of a new village center
along a local road system. The plan balanced local needs
to create new commercial and residential opportunities
with state highway improvements. The plan addressed
possibilities of connections to the proposed multi-modal
transportation center. The planning process involved
numerous public meetings and coordination with municipal
representatives. Project consultants included Terrance
J. Dewan and Associates and Gorrill Palmer Engineers.
