The Davis Residential Village, completed in fall of 2008, features a series of landscaped courtyards linked by a primary campus walkway. Designed around this pedestrian "street," the site plan integrates the tightly clustered high performance buildings with two historic cottages along the shore. The northerly of the two cottages is being renovated into Deering Commons, a student lounge. The southerly Sea Fox will remain as student housing. Each building features a courtyard with a unique design, united by use of similar local surfacing features, including re-use of historic wall stone and native plant materials.
