Coplon Associates has provided planning and design assistance to MDIBL since 1994. CA worked with the lab to create a master plan to guide long-term growth and development of the renowned shorefront research laboratory. The plan identifies locations for new residential, administrative and research facilities and served as the basis for a successful rezoning effort in 1995. As part of the first phase of implementation of the MDIBL master plan, Coplon Associates provided full site planning and landscape design service for the 150 seat auditorium expansion to historic Dahlgren Hall. Subsequent projects have included two year-round dormitories for which CA provided site design services.
