Recent Project Highlights

2018

CA is continuing its role as landscape architect for multiple projects in Acadia National Park. CA’s design for the reconstruction of the historic Tea Lawn at the Jordan Pond House was completed in June 2018.

CA is assisting Frenchman Bay Conservancy on redevelopment of the Tidal Falls Preserve, the FBC’s headquarters and flagship property on the reversing falls in Hancock, Maine. Construction is set to begin in late summer 2018.

CA continues to serve as project planner and landscape architect for several privately funded and managed recreation/conservation projects in northern and eastern Maine. The projects will significantly increase public access for muscle powered activities in scenic, high value landscapes.

CA is assisting MD365, a private organization dedicated to restoring a year-round economy in Northeast Harbor, on several projects to help economically and physically revitalize the village center.

CA is collaborating with Stahnke and Kerigawa Architects on a master plan for George Stevens Academy.

CA is engaged in numerous residential projects on Mt. Desert Island and other locations in eastern Maine.

CA is developing the site design for a new “glamping” resort on Mt. Desert Island.

CA developed conceptual plans and visioning documents for Millinocket Heritage Square, a new multi-use open space in downtown Millinocket, Maine. The project is intended to assist in the ongoing revitalization of the central business district.

CA is assisting the town of Blue Hill, Maine in developing a comprehensive plan for improving bicycle and pedestrian access and safety for the greater downtown area. The plan will serve as the basis for funding applications from state and local sources for phased implementation.
