| Coplon Associates
provided site planning and landscape design services
for the new downtown location of the Abbe Museum of
Native American Antiquities. The site design for the
$6.1 million renovation and expansion of a historic
shingle style building included a new entry court, an
internal ceremonial courtyard, exterior program space
and circulation parking and utility areas. Working closely
with Schwartz Silver Architects, CA designed flexible
exterior spaces that respect Native American themes
while responding to a diversity of museum needs. The
site design won a Merit Award from the Boston Society
of Landscape Architects in 2003.
